After completion of her gastroenterology training at Methodist Hospital Medical Center, she joined Scripps Clinic in La Jolla where she worked as a Transplant hepatologist and gastroenterologist and continued to teach fellows and residents and initiated the transplant hepatology fellowship program. Dr. Madani has participated in many clinical trials in the field of liver disease and has presented her research findings at several international liver meetings. Dr. Madani believes that team work between a patient and a doctor will create great outcome for both. She feels committed to spend time in educating her patients about their disease process which in return will help her patients to make better decisions for their health. One of her goals is early diagnosis of fatty liver and metabolic syndrome in order to start appropriate treatment and prevent from complications such as cirrhosis, liver cancer and need for liver transplantation.
